ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ will break ground on a nursing wing addition at the Piqua Campus on Tuesday, October 6, from 4 to 5 p.m. The event will include a reception, remarks, and a groundbreaking ceremony.

This transformational expansion, named the Upper Valley Medical Center/Premier Health Nursing Wing Addition at ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½, will enhance nursing and health sciences education and strengthen the region’s future health care workforce. By expanding its capacity for nursing students and addressing the growing demand for skilled health care professionals in the region, Edison State will ensure graduates are ready to excel and positively contribute to their communities from day one.

Since 1987, Edison State has prepared highly skilled nurses through its Registered Nursing and LPN/ADN Transition associate degree programs. Throughout its history, the nursing program has maintained full accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing. On the National Council Licensing Exam, Edison State students have consistently received a pass rate at or above the national average.

Building on that legacy of excellence, Edison State reached an exciting milestone in 2024, when it received the Higher Learning Commission’s approval to offer a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, allowing RNs to pursue further education at the College.
